Is there a reason why women always wear white to the spa? Perhaps it's because the color is reminiscent of the long robes worn by ancient Greek and Roman royalty as they luxuriated in their stone baths and salt water springs.

Another popular type of spa apparel is the spa robe, which is often called either a Turkish Robe or a Japanese Kimono style robe. Despite the name, the design is basically the same, except that the Turkish style may have a rolled collar and the Japanese style may have no collar at all, along with wider, wizard shaped sleeves. Both are made of a towel material for wicking moisture off of the skin.

You can get spa apparel in other colors besides white-- the hippest and trendiest colors being chocolate, lavender, and a rich teal. You should look just as fabulous during your spa visit as you feel afterward!
