Lawn Geeks R Us

Book Review

Lawn Geek
By Trey Rogers

If you seek lawn advice, then you need Lawn Geek. From the basics to a crisis, which every lawn apparently has, Rogers' writing has a serious levity to it. Filled with all kinds of facts I didn't even know were important, like what spurge is and how to identify it. There's even a cool grass glossary and little facts that only those obsessed with perfectly green lawns would love. Okay, it's actually lawn trivia.

His weed section is downright riveting and will have you out at night with the flashlight identifying the culprits he talks about in the book. I do have to admit, I got a small thrill when I identified my first weed by name.

Does that make me a weed geek?

Alas, according to Rogers - the only way to keep those telltale yellow stains from ruining your green is to walk your dog. He may be a geek, but he's just downright fun! This guy knows his turf.
