Growing Sprouts

Growing sprouts are considered a whole food and if you juice them, it's believed by many to be the miracle healing food. This is because sprouts contain everything that you need to survive in one plant; vitamins, minerals, proteins, and enzymes, all necessary for the body to function optimally.

Sprouts are very easy for humans to digest, which means that you can absorb the most nutrients possible for their low cost. Fresh sprouts can be grown almost anywhere and for pennies.

Another good reason to grow your own sprouts is to reduce global warming. You have probably heard of the 100 mile rule, which suggests eating foods grown within a 100 miles of where you live to prevent the pollution caused by food transportation. Anyone can grow nutritious sprouts within a hundred feet of their kitchen! And there you have it. Growing your own sprouts are environmentally a very nice thing to do for Mother Earth.

Sprouts are also an ideal fresh food to eat during the winter when the price of transported fresh fruits and vegetables increases almost as equally as their quality decreases. Grow your own sprouts under a grow lamp and you are enjoying a beneficial and fresh food source all year long.

Furthermore you can grow and consume sprouts with magical intentions in mind. For instance:

  • wheat sprouts are a symbol of fertility and are used to attract prosperity.
  • Buckwheat sprouts can also be grown as a prosperity plant.
  • Spicy radish sprouts protect against the evil eye and bad energy.
  • Onion sprouts are protective against disease and bad energies.

Of course, the magical symbolism behind these colorful and fresh plants is just a bonus as all of these sprouts are also delicious when added to a sandwich.
