Offering your blessings for a new home is extending your gift of love to the new inhabitants. Any gift you choose should be something that will remain in the home and offer a vibrational energy of blessings long after the gift was received. If you give artwork or a photograph, it should have a personal significance that you are extending to the recipient. While taste varies, a spiritual gift can never be ignored.
Remember that things have a vibrational energy and offering a framed prayer can actually raise the spiritual energy in a room without anyone knowing. I love to give framed prayers. And the other thing to think about is jewelry for the home.
A few years ago, I created a home jewelry line and although I thought it was to help a real estate client I worked with, that was not the path. Unbeknownst to me at the time, it was to assist an ailing client. She was unable to walk after an accident and therefore could no longer stay in her own homee and was forced to give up her apartment. Everyone was afraid to tell her the truth. No one wanted to tell her that the doctors had said that she would probably never walk again.
All of her friends and family kept up happy faces around her because she was prone to depression. By the time I came to see her, she was quite distraught. I took one look at her and could tell she knew the 'truth' that everyone was trying to hide from her.
She broke down with me and admitted that she knew her fate already and no one would tell her. I wanted to suggest that she see herself walking, but that wasn't going to fly with her and I knew it. She told me as much. I listened as she cried and held the space for her. Suddenly in a moment of clarity, she pulled herself up and looked me right in the eye. "What I need is a complete change of my DNA. I have to find the belief that I can walk, but it won't come from my inner awareness right now."
The next day, I brought a manifesting chakra vortex home jewelry piece to her "New Home" and hung it in the window near her bed. It is a spiral vortex piece and can be eye-catching in the sun in its simplicity. I instructed her to look at it and imagine seeing herself walking and well. I explained that this piece was a recalibrator, and would change her vibration, just as she said she wanted.
I prayed with her that day, ironically it was she who asked if we could offer blessings for a new home, even though by all indications, she wasn't going anywhere for a long time.
When you offer anyone blessings for a new home, you are giving them the gift of health and happiness. You are saying that you see great things ahead for them. You want them to thrive and be better than imaginable. Think for a moment about your talents and how you might apply them here. Perhaps you're skilled at knitting or crocheting, and you can use your hands to create a pillow or throw for the recipients' sofa or bed. Maybe you have more unconventional artistic interests, such as working with stained glass or clay. Again look inside yourself and consider your special abilities as you think of what might most be appreciated as you offer your blessings for a new home.
While not all of us are so inclined, whether we lack creative talent or simply time, it doesn't detract from the intention behind a purchased gift.
While I created a New Home Intention candle and it is meant to offer great blessings for a new home, you can see how there are times when a different gift is appropriate. I believe that you must give from the heart--and that is giving something that represents your personal gifts to give.
As a professional intuitive, I must offer what is appropriate to a situation. One couple had just moved into a new home, and I brought them a Fertility Intention Candle and Mala because that was appropriate. I knew what their intention was, so this was a powerful blessing for them.
All my Intention Candles come with a booklet on how to use them. If you are giving an Intention Candle as a gift, always repeat the prayer mantra over the candle three times to bless it before presenting it to the recipient. This will energize the candle and fill it with your love and good wishes. It's important to let the recipient know two things about preserving the strong energy within the candle:
- It must never be blown out, only snuffed with a proper device--the glass lid will suffice.
- Once it's fully burned, its jar must not be used for another candle, but it can be cleaned and filled with tokens of intention to carry forward the energy of the candle.
I also love giving fresh baked bread which represents the simplest of foods, and the concept of it baking on the hearth brings with it the feelings of family, nurturing, and warmth.
I will tell you that almost five months after recalibrating her DNA, as she called it, Lisa did walk again. She moved into her new home soon after. I gave her a New Home Intention Candle, which she burned directly under her Manifesting Vortex.
Peace and wellness to you and your family this season. Many blessings.
